Academic report on“Axisymmetric solution of the plane Schrodinger-Poisson system”

At the invitation of Center for Mathematical Sciences and School of Mathematics and Physics of CUG, Professor Xianhua Tang from Zhongnan University gave an online talk titled “Axisymmetric solution of the plane Schrodinger-Poisson system” on Dec 22th, 2020. Teachers and students fromSchool of Mathematics and Physics in related research fields attended this academic colloquium.

Prof. Tang has been engaged in mathematics teaching and research for a long time, andhis main research areas include nonlinear analysis, partial differential equations, Hamilton systems, functional differential equations, ordinary differential equations and discrete dynamic systems. Prof. Tang has published more than 200 papers in peer refereed journals, such as SIAM J. Math. Anal., J. Differential Equations, Calc.Var.Partial Differential Equations, J. Dynam.Differential Equations, Nonlinearity, J. London Math. Soc., Proc. Amer. Math. Soc., etc. Elsevier granted Prof. Guo as the Most Cited Chinese Researchersin Mathematicssince 2014.

In this talk, Prof. Tang mainly introduced the existence of non-trivial axisymmetric solutions, ground state solutions and infinitely many solutions of the plane axisymmetric Schrodinger-Poisson system.After the colloquium, Prof. Tang had a detailed exchange and discussion with teachers and students. The colloquium ended smoothly in a warm atmosphere.
